Railway, the connecting nerves of India

Railway seems to be a lifeline to us right, but during the lockdown, the lifeline has been stopped and due to it many of us are staying at our homes.

In both video and photos, you can see that every person states that the railway is a lifeline to us. So, let me tell you some very interesting facts about our lifeline 'The Indian Railway'.

 

First, let me ask you the population ofAustrilla?

I know that the question might come in your that why am I Asking the population of Australia.

Because the Indian railway transports almost 2.5 crores passengers daily which is equal to the population of Australia.

Indian Railway has 16 zones over a route of  65,808 km with 7,112 stations. Isn't it amazing?

Indian Railways is the largest rail network in Asia and the world’s second-largest railway network.

Indian Railways is one of the world’s largest employers with over 1.4 million people.

The World Heritage sites include 4 Indian Railways sites and 5 Mountain Railways.

Gorakhpur Junction railway station has the world’s longest railway platform with the length of 1,366.33 m.
